The Emblem of the Hamilton County Police Association

The HCPA Emblem has been a symbol representing the distinguished characteristics of Valor, Courage, and Strength since 1937. Each of these characteristics are embodied in the symbols and colors of the emblem. The eagle atop the emblem signifies the strength of the law enforcement profession, while the gold represents a shield between our community and the forces of evil. The scales beneath the eagle are symbolic of the equal and exact treatment of all. The blue courthouse on silver denotes the solid structure of the justice system and the color red expresses the courage evident in those who wear the emblem. The high quality of law enforcement that protects our Hamilton County, Ohio communities is represented by the blue border. The silvery bumpy road symbolizes the problems solved, while the sky blue ribbon signifies valor. Finally, the olive branches denote the knowledge grown over the years since 1937 of "Cooperation In Operation". All of these symbols are placed upon a black band which symbolizes our brothers and sisters who have sacrificed their lives.
