Shoot Dates

Dec. 16, 2010                     Jan. 20, 2011                   Feb. 17, 2011

Law Enforcement Agencies throughout the Tri-State are invited to participate in the HCPA indoor shoot and Department Team Competition. The program will be held at the Great Oaks Firing Range 3254 East Kemper Road Sharonville, Ohio 45241. Individual Officers who register three (3) scores will be eligible for Awards based on the Lewis scoring system. Shooting ahead and make-ups will be allowed, if more than three scores are recorded only the highest will be used. The team competition portion of the program will be based on the total scores of Three (3) Departmental team members who may shoot on any of the three dates available but must declare that they are shooting for team score prior to firing the program. Team members must be from the same Agency, active or retired. Fees will be the same as the monthly outdoor shoots. The program will require 48 rounds of service ammo and is revolver neutral. Shooters will need at least two speed loaders or three magazines.

Course of Fire

Stage 1
4 yards - low light/no flashlights - double action
12 shots one-handed, 6 shots strong hand, reload, 6 shots weak hand from the standing without support position. In 25 seconds from the holster, time includes reloading for the second shot string.

Stage 2
7 yards - low light/red & blue flashing lights/no flashlights - double action
12 shots one or two handed, 6 shots strong hand, reload 6 shots weak hand from the standing without support position. In 25 seconds from the holster, time includes reloading for the second shot string.

Stage 3
12 yards - low light/red & blue flashing lights/no flashlights - double action
6 shots, one or two hands, from the standing without support position. In 18 seconds from the holster.

Stage 4
Competitor will stand behind barricade #1 with their firearm secured in a holster on their gun belt. They will be facing down range.
18 shots - In this stage there will be 1 target located in the center of the course. On the Fire Command or the Facing of the Target the competitor will move towards barricade #2 and engage the target firing 6 shots prior to arriving at barricade #2

At barricade #2 the competitor will reload, move towards barricade #3 and engage the target firing 6 shots prior to arriving at barricade #3

At barricade #3 the competitor will reload and move backward towards barricade #4 and engage the target firing 6 shots prior to arriving at barricade #4 In 60 seconds.

 Stage 4 is completed once the competitor is behind barricade #4 and the weapon is holstered. The competitor will be directed to empty the firearm and secure it in the holster.

 Left handed shooters will fire stage 4 in reverse.

Cost for registered score or make-up $3.00 or two for $5.00, practice only $1.00.
